Considering you should be killing three mobs every cycle in which each cycle is 10min and 40 secs, you should be killing 15 mobs an hour. The undead lake is good for paladins and there are a couple of drolvargs mixed in. By the time you reach 110 you should be able to clear all of those with a good group by the time the first one is available. If you're a damn the torpedos type, you can pull the fire troops around the giant Solusek Ro, who is standing there in all his glory. They respawn pretty quick and are higher level than most of the zone, so better exp longer. Pretty good for running if you botch pulls. Erudin has some mobs that aren't kill on sight, so try not to kill them. Get invisibility on a character who can rez or has a healer merc at least. Q: Can I bring my merc on a LDoN or my guilds CoA raid? For a quick example, an Apprentice Tier V mercenary caps out at a 90% rez where as a Journeyman Tier I mercenary will have a 96% rez. Once inside, just follow your map and keep heading back until mobs start getting close to your level. Mostly you'll be killing oashim rats and wraiths in the bottom right portion of the Tier 2 section. The Fortress Mechanotus Zones(75-85)(Guild Hall>Buy Dragonscale Faycite>TP to Dragonscale Hills>Fortress Mechanotus>Gyrospires/Meldraths/SHIP/Steam Factory) - This area isn't one of my favorites and I haven't spent a considerable amount of time hunting in them. Considering how easy it is to level on live these days, just paying for one month while you level to 110 is plenty. The experience and potential money are fantastic though. This is very repetitive, boring, and slow. I may try again with this guide. They come in 2 flavors: Apprentice and Journeyman, each with 5 ranks. The final two zones drop Glowing Reis, which gives you good armor from 85-90. 28-35 Kaesora(PoK>Field of Bones>Kaesora) - I think this is a pretty great zone to get a few levels in. This means that you'll have to pay the re-hire charge to get your merc back. I have added it in now. Undead mobs for your paladins to slay and lots of Dark Elves to murder. Lower HP, but hit hard. Fortress itself is a very popular zone for Damage Shield leveling due to the density and fast respawn times, so there is a pretty good chance that a high level player will be here doing that for box toons or guildies. If it's not up on the rotation, skip it. AFK XP gains are so increadibly low/slow that it isn't even worth the time or effort, even if that time is being stolen. These levels will come steadily and you will very likely never be overwhelmed. You will begin seeing worgs, go south down the coastline and look for some elves and humans. Not much changes between 'minor' expansions in each leveling guide and you'll notice that the biggest change between leveling guides is Seeds of Destruction. In comparison to their equivalent in Underfoot, the mobs are vastly easier. Loot isn't spectacular but with a decent group, you will shred mobs and the exp will flow like water. Yeah that is no where near as good as it used to be. The south camp is the three rooms near the Nobles Causeway zone line. Use mostly water pet in Classic era. Resplendent Temple is awful in my opinion, with it being nearly impossible to pull singles, and Pillars of Alra is hard to get to (you have to run through a lot of angry Alarins who can see invis in Resplendent Temple) and easy to get yourself killed in, for much the same reason. Everything is pretty spread out and it's dead simple to pull singles or just wander and kill. I'd suggest even if you go this method, you still use MQ2 with afk tools to answer tells while you are away. Kill them all. You can pull 3-4 at a time easily and pretty quickly kill them all, moving out toward the docked ships to get higher level guys. As aforementioned if you are a Free to Play(F2P) player you will only be able to select an Apprentice Mercenary. Go through a little valley into the south side of the zone though and it becomes Tier 2. There are two main camps that youll use. This expansion introduced Mercenaries and basically completely changed the way you level in Everquest. The exp is also really nice 75-80. With an 85 druid can pl 20-65 in about 6 hours with the druid un-grouped and DS'ing whilst PL'd toon does at least of one point of dmg. per mob. A NOTE ON GEAR: If you do not go through the Mines and get your tutorial set, I recommend spending any money you can get your hands on for some Simple or Rough Defiant gear. The north and east you can at least run out if you botch a pull. Lots of undead for your friendly neighborhood paladins as well. The adds are just too intense. This makes this one of the best places to grind for paladins trying to wrap up leveling or grind AAs. This works out to 4 AA (6 AA on Test) an hour while AFK. I typically use them around 55-70 when your merc starts running out of steam but before you really pick up major power boosts. Fifth, Daybreak gives you an option to accept some 25% experience potions instead of your monthly 500 Cash. They are undead and you will reap them with Slay Undead/Ward Undead line spells.
