Love this guitar, high end sound for mid range price. i dont care who you are, beginner to seasoned musician, there is no doubt that you would love this guitar. So, I bought me another color of this soon-to-be classic model - a Vintage Sunburst. The solid mahogany neck is hand-set into the body using a deep-set, glued-in joint which extends into the pickup cavity, creating maximum neck-to-body contact and acting almost like one continuous piece of wood. It just gets better,the Gibson pickups captures the Gibson sounds perfectly. Not quite my Gibson Standard (that looks nearly identical...), but for ~ 1/3 of the price, it's a steal. Out of the box it played really well, but I only gave it 4.5 stars in the ease of use because the intonation was a little off and the action was little high (but so were all my Gibsons). The only issue I have found is the bridge volume knob doesn't turn as smoothly as the others and will twist all the way around but still works and doesn't make me love the guitar any less.
